don't let it burn, don't let it fade

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 3, 2008, 5:04 AM
Okay. I got my latest shoot, The Modern Last Supper, up. Four glorious images. Go, feast with your eyes on the fruits of two hours labour.

Actually, there are vignettes as well, but I have to get them developed, and I'm kinda runnin' low on the money thing right now, but they'll be here soon, too, because I really think the strength in this particular shoot lies in the vignettes. I saw some of my test vignettes that I took with the digital, and they came out really, really striking, so that's where the gold is, I think.

The photos that I put up are going to need some shopping to get the color right, we had some pretty heavy lights going down, but I think that with the proper button pressing on my Adobe, we should be going pretty swimmingly.

That being said, I have until Friday to get my Buddha shoot done before my sister has her baby. G-d save me, I'm too lazy for my own good. The Wicca shoot can wait. But when those are done, glory! I will be finished with this series and able to focus more on Christianity and Christian symbols. I'm super duper excited about that, I have some fun stuff planned with a dilapitated telephone cross, my friend Maggie, and a ton of fake blood. And glitter.

(yeah, like that's ever going to happen. pfft.)

I would have said lowered myself down to baiting you, but it's nice to know you think I'm above anything.
(I'm not.)

Everyone knows that being a teacher isn't a real job. Ever heard of that old saying? "Those who can't do..."?

Hey Arianna. Good work today, it seemed like that shoot really turned out, and also helped create a mini-community for an hour. That is all important. Of course I am excited to see the results, and hope you are having them printed at least 5"x7" if not 8"x10".

Anyhow, I digress. Here is the link to that Kali on the Bally work that I talked to you about: [link]

He seems to be a deeper and more interesting photographer that he appears on the surface. Be sure to check out his website, it has interesting other work on it.

Have a good one, see you on next week.

Yah I know, I mean I only like have 2 jobs, racking up like 60-70 hours a week, on top of taking care of my house and helping to raise my daughter. I am so damn lazy.

So I guess I am supposed to save all your pics here to put together the portfolio of your work eh Arianna? Typical, forcing your teacher to do all the work..grumble, grumble.

I try :) It's getting rough with college... I'm studying art and I can't even find time to visit deviantArt... ridiculous, if you know what I mean. I hope this note finds you well.
